Mikko Hirvonen claimed Ford´s first World Rally Championship victory for nine rounds in Australia, after a rally that began with rain and chaos, and ended with a flurry of team orders.
Sebastien Ogier ended Sebastien Loeb´s unbeaten Rallye Deutschland run by cruising to an easy win after the world champion suffered a puncture while leading at the end of day two.
Sebastien Loeb made his World Rally Championship points lead slightly more comfortable by taking his second win of 2011 in the Rally d´Italia.
Sebastien Ogier made up for his Mexico crash by winning the Rally of Portugal for a second consecutive year.
